Keeping in sync with the times, we also offer Sodium Benzoate, which is a preservative. It comprises bacteriostatic and fungistatic properties under acidic conditions. Widely used in acidic foods like salad dressings (vinegar), carbonated drinks (carbonic acid), jams & fruit juices (citric acid), pickles (vinegar) and condiments. Also present in alcohol-based mouthwash & silver polish and some of the cough syrups like Robitussin. Few shampoos like Pert 2-in-1 also contains sodium benzoate. It is declared on a product label as 'sodium benzoate' or E211.
